Postdoctoral Research Associate

During my time at Swarthmore, Professor Talvacchia really inspired me to pursue a career in mathematics. A year after graduation, I received my master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington and accepted a position at a private boarding high school as a mathematics teacher. Being in the classroom made me miss being a student again, so I went back to graduate school at Claremont Graduate University to pursue my doctorate degree. For the next five years, I taught during the day and went to school at night, and I owe a lot of what I learned at Swarthmore for being able to juggle both of those for so long. I currently am a postdoc at the University of Arizona and my research is focused on network theory and network analysis. Specifically, I am looking to develop new computational techniques to model, analyze, and explore relational data.
