Academic Support

student solving math problem

Welcome to Math & Stat Academic Support!

The Fall 2023 schedule of math/stat clinics is now posted.  All clinics will be 7-10 pm.  The general math clinic and one-on-one clinics will begin after the start of classes on Tuesday September 5.   Pirate sessions, course-specific clinics, and statistics clinics will begin on Sunday September 10.

There are four main types of clinics:

  • General Math/stat clinics are open to all students enrolled in a math or stat class.  These are drop-in sessions, no appointment necessary.
  • Course-specific clinics are available for students enrolled in a particular course or courses (Math 27/28, Math 33/34, Math 39, Stat 1/11/21).  These are drop-in sessions, no appointment necessary.
  • Pirate sessions are also for students enrolled in a particular course (Math 15 or Math 25), and the pirates also attend class to support students in-class.  These are drop-in sessions, no appointment necessary.
  • One-on-one clinics are 30 minute appointments to meet independently with a clinician.  These can be held in person or on zoom.  Sign up for an appointment at least 60 minutes in advance.
