Doug Leonard '19

I'm currently beginning my second year as a PhD student in political science at Stanford University with a focus on politics and the environment and political economy. I also spend a lot of time climbing in Yosemite.   

I use my math education from Swarthmore all the time, as my research involves lots of statistical work. Studying math at Swarthmore also gave me the confidence that I can learn any material with hard work and the guidance of a good teacher.
