Tri Co Visitors: Computing Resources At Swarthmore

Public Computers and Printing:

There is a shared guest account that can be used to log into public computers in the McCabe, Cornell, and Underhill libraries and to print to library printers. The password for this account changes weekly and can be obtained from the library circulation desks.

Guest Wireless Network Access:

SwatGuest wireless accounts can be created for up to 7 days. These accounts can be sponsored by and created any current Swarthmore staff or faculty member, the guest needs only to provide a valid email address to send account notification to.

A guest wireless account allows you to register your personal computing devices for use on the Swarthmore wireless network. SwatGuest wireless access is available in all academic and dorm buildings on campus, but does not allow access to campus printers or file servers. More information is available at

Full Semester access:

If you are currently enrolled in or teaching a Swarthmore class, you can obtain a Swarthmore username and password from the Help Desk in Beardsley Hall. You should expect the account (and any data tied to it) to be deleted at the end of the current semester.

This username and password allows you to log into public computers on campus (in McCabe, Cornell, and Underhill libraries), use Swarthmore's online services, and allows you to register your personal computing devices on the Swarthmore network. You can also use this account to log into a classroom or work computer, and to gain access to additional network drives, printers, or other resources.
