Emergencies

In case of emergency or when the health center is closed, call Public Safety by dialing "0" or (610) 328-8000.

The officer will make a decision to either arrange transportation to the Health Center or hospital.

Usually students will be taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center Emergency Room because the Health Center physicians admit there. However, students requiring urgent care that is not critical or which is not expected to end in a hospital admission, will be sent/taken to either of two nearby hospitals in the Crozer system: Springfield Hospital or Taylor Hospital because their Emergency Departments tend to be less busy.

When admitted to CCMC, students will be admitted to one of the physician services if appropriate. If notified, any of the internists will serve as liaison in the hospital, even if the student is not under their direct care.
