How to Get Prescription Medications

Student Health and Wellness Medication Dispensary

The Student Health and Wellness Service maintains a small medication dispensary for some common medications. We are not a full-service pharmacy and cannot fill prescriptions from other medical clinicians outside of the college health service.

Most over-the-counter and prescription medications that we carry are available to students at cost.  All prescription medications dispensed at the Student Health and Wellness Center must be prescribed by a licensed healthcare clinician at Student Health and Wellness Service or administered through student health center protocols.

Basic dispensary medications available at Student Health and Wellness Service will be dispensed after an evaluation at the health center. These may include medications for acute care situations such as viral infections, bacterial infections, upset stomach, asthma, allergies and reproductive health medications.  Most prescriptions for chronic medical and psychological conditions can be filled through a local pharmacy.

Prescriptions from providers outside of Student Health and Wellness Service and/or prescriptions that cannot be filled at the health center can be filled at a local pharmacy. See below for a list of local options.
