Student Opportunities

Newton Award Winner Martin Palomo '19

In addition to being one of the largest employers of student workers on campus, the Libraries offer student opportunities that are unique to Swarthmore, including the A. E. Newton Award, and a semester-long, paid Library Internship.

Explore library employment opportunities in JobX. You'll discover a wide range of jobs from staffing service desks and reshelving books to work that explores the Digital Humanities (Lib/Lab Fellows), peer research advising (Research and Information Associates, RIAs), and website usability work (UX Researchers.)

Virtual Reading Group

As a continuation of our summer program, the Swarthmore College Libraries will be hosting a series of book groups this fall! The Swarthmore Virtual Reading Group (SVRG) is open to the Swarthmore community including students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members. Meetings will take place using Zoom videoconferencing (no account required)
