Frequently Asked Questions for Alumni
We will post additional information to this page as it becomes available.
- Are College-sponsored events still taking place?
All in-person activities on campus have been canceled through at least July 31. Consistent with the College's desire to promote social distancing and discourage nonessential gatherings, the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement encourages alumni interested in planning events to consider virtual alternatives. If you'd like assistance planning or promoting a virtual event, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Is the College still sponsoring Alumni College Abroad trips this year?
International and domestic College-sponsored travel is prohibited through December 31. Therefore, the College has formally withdrawn faculty support and sponsorship from all remaining Alumni College Abroad trips scheduled for 2020. We encourage alumni booked on any upcoming trips to contact their tour provider for additional information on cancellations and refunds.
- I’m a faculty member scheduled to participate in an Alumni College Abroad trip. How do the changes affect me?
College-sponsored travel, both international and domestic, is prohibited through at least December 31. This applies to faculty and staff scheduled to participate in Alumni College Abroad trips. Contact Lisa Shafer, senior director of Alumni & Parent Engagement, at email@example.com for more information.
- How does this impact Alumni Weekend 2020?
In the interest of social distancing and keeping our community as safe as possible, all campus activities between now and July 31, including Alumni Weekend, have been canceled. However, the Advancement Office recently announced an expanded Alumni Weekend 2021. All alumni whose graduation year ends in 0, 1, 5, 6, and the Classes of 2018 and 2019, are invited to celebrate cluster reunions during next year's Alumni Weekend, May 28–30, 2021.
