Mentoring and Tutoring

Latinos and Education seminar presents action research at Olney High School.

Swarthmore students can gain valuable experience by working with after-school mentoring and tutoring programs in the area.

  • Visit the Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility to learn more about tutoring and mentoring programs including:
    • Big Brother Big Sister
    • Chester Youth Court Volunteers
    • Club Despertar
    • Dare to Soar
    • Expanding Your Horizons
    • Learning 4 Life
    • Sibshop
  • Explore the Blue Print Project, coordinated through the Black Cultural Center in collaboration with the Chester-Crozer Wellness Center, Chester Youth Collaborative, and the Office of Minority Health.
  • Take an Educational Studies Department course that includes a field placement in which you may work with a classroom, a group of students, or individual students.
