Certification to Drive for Educational Studies

Some students may wish to become certified to drive College-owned vehicles so that they may drive their peers to a field placement.  Student drivers are hired by the Department and paid as student workers in accordance with Student Employment Office policies.  More details on the process and requirements for becoming driver certified at Swarthmore are available on the Fleet Management website.

Students interested in becoming certified for the purpose of driving for Educational Studies field placements must be in contact with the Field Placement Coordinator. Students who are already College driver certified and are interested in working for the Educational Studies department as a driver should also contact the Field Placement Coordinator to discuss possible opportunities.
