Our Mission

The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion provides strategic vision, expertise, and coordination for institutional work that supports a campus culture of inclusion, trust, equity, and belonging for all members of the Swarthmore community. We know supporting everyone’s full and authentic participation in our community requires us to be intentional about building a space rooted in curiosity, resilience, empathy, and accountability.

Fundamentals of Restorative Practices Training

June 2 & 3, 2026

Building and strengthening relationships and community is a critical component of campus culture. Restorative practices (RP) is an essential process for creating a positive and supportive environment, building social capital, and resolving relational issues in professional and personal contexts.

This two-day introductory experience presented the fundamental theory and practices for engaging with students and colleagues at Swarthmore and in the Tri-Co, applying a restorative approach.
