E-billing and Payment Portal Information 2023

The below emails were sent by the Student Accounts Office the week of July 3rd to all new students. The first is in regards to your bill and portal. The second is in regards to payment plans.

Dear Student:

Your student account bill is now available to view via your E-Bill account. Your student account bill needs to be paid (or otherwise accounted for) in full no later than July 17, 2023In accordance with College policy, student account balances need to be resolved in full before a student will be permitted to return to campus.

Please note, if you have already granted access to the College’s e-billing and payment portal to a parent or other authorized user, they have also received this email notification. If you have not granted access to the College’s e-billing and payment portal to a parent or other authorized user, and would like to, you must invite them to set up an account to access your e-bill, etc…

Students are billed based on their current student status (enrolled or on-leave). If you are considering a leave of absence, please know that students are billed for charges unless or until they formally request a leave of absence using the leave/return e-form in mySwarthmore. For more information on leaves of absence please visit the Taking Time Off website, including the link to the financial withdrawal policy (Catalog section 4.3).

How to view or pay your bill:

You can access your bill on our new e-billing and payment portal. To view or pay your bill electronically, simply log into mySwarthmore, select E-Bill Account Menu, then select E-Bill View/Pay. Once you login to your account, payment options will be displayed.

Parent/Authorized User: To view or pay a bill electronically, click  Parent/Authorized User Login. Once you login to your account, payment options will be displayed.

Invite a New User to Create an Account:

If a parent, guardian, or other authorized user had access to your student e-bills in the old portal and you would like them to have access to the new portal, you must invite them to set up an account.

  1. Access the payment portal by logging into MySwarthmore, selecting E-Bill Account Menu, and then selecting E-Bill View/Pay. You will then be redirected to the portal.
  2. In the payment portal, navigate to the My Profile tab at the top.
  3. Under Authorized User, click Invite User and enter in contact information for the person you want to invite. Invited users will receive an email from swarthmore@officialpayments.com
  4. Please note that account invitations expire in 3 days. If an invitation has expired, you can click Resend to prompt a new invitation. You can check the status of an invitation back in the Authorized Users section of your account.

We suggest you to invite anyone who typically views or pays your bills, and encourage you to alert your parent, guardian, or other current users of this upcoming change as soon as possible, to ensure that any authorized users are added to your account.

Dear Student,

 

This email is a reminder that the online enrollment period for the Swarthmore College Payment Plan (for the Fall 2023 semester) begins on June 1st.

 

Please note, if you wish to enroll in a payment plan, you will need to enroll in the Swarthmore College billing
and payment portal. We have provided the following instructions to assist you in enrolling, managing, and
making payments in a payment plan.

 

What you need to know:

 

1. As before, you must enroll in a separate payment plan each semester.

 

Students may enroll online by accessing the payment portal by logging into mySwarthmore, selecting E-Bill Account Menu, and then selecting E-Bill View/Pay. You may also  log directly into the payment portal. In the payment portal, click on the Payment Plan tab at the top and select Enroll in a new plan.

 

Parent/Authorized users with an active account on the Swarthmore billing and payment portal may
enroll online by logging into the payment portal, In the payment portal, click on the Payment Plan tab at
the top and select Enroll in a new plan.

2. Students can Invite a New User to Create an Account:

 

Access the payment portal by logging into mySwarthmore, selecting E-Bill Account Menu, and then
selecting E-Bill View/Pay. You will be redirected to the payment portal. In the payment portal, navigate
to the My Profile tab at the top. Under Authorized User, click Invite User and enter the contact information for the person you want to invite. Invited users will receive an email from
swarthmore@officialpayments.com .

3. How to view or pay your bill:

Students log into mySwarthmore, select E-Bill Account Menu, then select E-Bill View/Pay. Once you login to your account, payment options will be displayed.

 

Parent/Authorized Users click  Parent/Authorized User Login. Once you login to your account, payment options will be displayed.
