Welcome to Swarthmore!
At the foundation of the Swarthmore experience is the education of our students, and that education extends across all aspects of our students' lives. Whether it's in a classroom, lab, residence hall, dining hall, or playing field — Swarthmore students engage with each other's perspectives, encounter new ways of thinking about the world, and expand their understanding of themselves and others. It is our fundamental belief that this education of the whole student prepares individuals for lifelong learning, intellectual curiosity, and critical thinking in service of Swarthmore's mission to "help its students realize their full intellectual and personal potential combined with a deep sense of ethical and social concern."
