"During the spring semester of 2020, I had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in Paris with Academic Programs Abroad (APA) and for the two and a half months that I was able to spend there, I learned so much about the French culture, I met many new and interesting people, and I saw countless beautiful monuments and attractions. Not only was I able to explore the city of Paris, but we also went on multiple excursions to Craon, Saint-Malo, Versailles, and Mont Saint-Michel. Every week our program organized cultural activities such as seeing a play, tasting cheese, touring certain historical neighborhoods as well as museums, and more.

I lived in a foyer (a residence for young students and workers) and there I met people from all different international backgrounds and with varying occupations. I took two classes offered by APA, in art history and political science, and two programs at the UPMC Sorbonne University in mechanical engineering.

Every day presented me with exciting challenges and these experiences helped me grow and learn. I am so incredibly grateful for the time that I had in France, even if it was cut short, and I hope to be able to visit again soon.
