Swarthmore College Wind Ensemble

The Swarthmore College Wind Ensemble

The Swarthmore Wind Ensemble rehearses on Monday nights from 7:00-9:30 in Lang Concert Hall, and performs a full concert at the end of each semester.  We are a Tri-College group, welcoming students from Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges who are interested in exploring the Concert Band repertoire in a collegiate setting.  The Wind Ensemble takes field trips to hear world-renowned bands (such as the President's Own Marine Band), and sometimes rehearses outdoors in the Scott Amphitheater.  Any member of the Tri-Co community who plays a band instrument is welcome to join.

    Wind Ensemble Auditions

We welcome new members for the Fall Semester of Wind Ensemble! Auditions are to determine seating assignments: any student who plays a band instrument is welcome to participate.   Please prepare a 3-4 minute excerpt from your repertoire. Auditions will be held from September 3-6, and you can sign up here! If you can't audition on the first day of classes, please come to our first rehearsal on Monday, September 3, at 7:00 pm in Lang Concert Hall anyway! Please email ahauze1@swarthmore.edu with any questions.
