Fall Housing Selection Process
In order to have the most up-to-date information about the College’s plans for Fall 2021 and to help ensure that we can offer students a variety of housing options for the Fall semester, the housing selection process for the 2021-2022 academic year will take place after classes end and throughout the summer. The Office of Student Engagement will begin sharing information about the lottery process for the 2021-2022 academic year in mid-May. Lottery numbers will be assigned through the same process as previous years. During the lottery, students will be able to apply for block housing (friend groups preferencing to live together) and rising juniors and seniors will be able to select a specific room in a community. Rising sophomores will be able to rank the residence halls in order of preference. We will be using the Housing Portal for room selection for the 2021-2022 academic year. Instructions on how to use the Housing Portal will be sent out to the community before the beginning of the housing selection process.
At this time, we are anticipating returning to full occupancy in our residence halls, and residents will be assigned roommates in multiple occupancy rooms (doubles, triples, quads, etc). The housing preference form for sophomores will provide the option to list a roommate preference along with the friend group block. We also anticipate that rising sophomores and some rising juniors may have more than one roommate dependent on the dorm they are assigned to or select.

All members of the Class of 2022, 2023 and 2024 will complete a ‘residential status intent’ form, indicating a request to live on-campus or off-campus for the Fall 2021 semester. Students will receive a link in their email on or about May 3 with instructions on how to complete this form.
