Allergy Injection Information
Swarthmore College Student Health and Wellness Service provides administration of allergy injections during designated "Allergy Clinic" hours. There is not an allergist on site; therefore we require detailed allergy treatment instructions from your allergist. Your injections will be administered under the supervision of qualified medical personnel following guidelines established by ACAAI, the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Students must bring or mail their own allergen serum, prescriptions and directions from their Allergist's Office regarding the serum name, dose, and injection schedule.
Students are required to read and sign our Allergy Information Form [PDF]
Students must remain at the health center for the prescribed amount of time (30 minutes) post-injection. We do not initiate new serums. Allergy serums will be kept refrigerated at Student Health Services. Students are required to pick up their serum from Student Health and Wellness Service at the end of each semester before the health center closes.
