THE FULBRIGHT U.S. SCHOLAR program 2024-2025 COMPETITION IS NOW OPEN. The application deadline is September 15, 2023, 11:59 pm PST.

The Fulbright Scholar Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Participating governments and host institutions, corporations, and foundations around the world also provide direct and indirect support to the Program, which operates in over 160 countries worldwide.

Sponsored Programs’ first Fulbright Day included a lunchtime discussion featuring Betsy Bolton (Morocco), José-Luis Machado (Colombia), and Allen Kuharski  (Poland) as well as one-on-one sessions for Swarthmore faculty. If you have received a Fulbright and would be willing to serve as a panelist, please let us know.

Fulbright now has more flexible award options and there are opportunities to bring scholars to campus through the Outreach Lecturing Fund (OLF) even if you do not meet the U.S. eligibility requirements for the scholar programs.
