- Getting Started with Pivot-RP
To take full advantage of the platform’s features, such as saving searches and receiving automated alerts, you must create a user account.
- Create Your Account: Visit pivot.proquest.com and sign up using your Swarthmore College institutional email address or through Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.
- Claim or Create Your Profile: Pivot-RP automatically generates profiles for many researchers based on publicly available information. - Refine Your Profile: Enhancing your profile with specific keywords, publications, and your ORCID ID will help the platform’s intelligent mapping features provide the most relevant opportunities.
- Searching and Automating Results
Pivot-RP is designed to save you valuable time by automating the grant-seeking process.
- Search Strategies: You can use Basic or Advanced Search options to filter results by sponsor types, project locations, deadlines, and types of grants. Using specific keywords and Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) can help refine your results.
- Track Opportunities: You can track specific opportunities to receive personal reminders about deadlines and updates when requirements change.
- Save Searches and Set Alerts: By saving a search query, you can set Pivot-RP to send you automated email notifications (daily or weekly) whenever new funding opportunities that match your criteria are added to the database.
