Campus Assessment Response and Evaluation (CARE) Team
The CARE team is convened by the Director of Public Safety when a serious threat of harm or behavioral concern arises for the health, well-being, or safety of a Swarthmore College community member. The team consists of staff from the department of Public Safety, the Dean’s office, the department of Human Resources, and/or others, as needed. When convened, the CARE team will assess the identified concern, and decide on appropriate next steps based on the specific circumstances. The CARE team is committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals involved, and only shares information on a need to know basis.
The CARE team takes all concerns about the safety and security of Swarthmore College students, faculty, and staff seriously, and is committed to keeping our community safe. If you would like to report a concern, you may do so through the following channels:
- Calling the Public Safety Emergency Line (610) 328-8333 or General Line: 610-328-8281. If you are on a campus phone, dial x8333 or x8281.
