Awareness Bulletin - FBI/ATF Warning to College and Universities

Director of Public Safety Mike Hill shared the following in a community message on Sun., Oct. 4:

Dear Community Member,

The College has received information from Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) notifying universities and colleges in our region that threats of violence have been made against “an unspecified university near Philadelphia."

The information includes a specific date of Mon., Oct. 5, 2015, 1 p.m. central time/ 2 p.m. eastern time.

We have been advised  by ATF and the FBI that they have “no knowledge of any specific threat."  However, it has been requested that we continue to work closely with federal and local law enforcement agencies to monitor this unspecified threat. 

Although we do not recommend changing any of your routines, we do ask that you remain aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity or behavior to the Department of Public Safety immediately at (610) 328-8281 or x8281.
