Video Lecture: Why You Should Not Believe The Conclusion of This Talk

On Friday, November 9th, David Christensen, Professor of Philosophy at Brown University,  spoke about the epistemology of disagreement.

"How should one react to the fact that so many of one's beliefs about controversial topics (in politics, economics, or philosophy, for example) are denied by others-others who would seem to be just as smart, honest, well educated, etc. as oneself? I'll argue that many philosophers should be far less confident of their philosophical positions than they often seem to be. Sadly, various smart, honest, well-educated philosophers seem to reject this view."
