Lady Philosophers
The "Lady Philosophers" is a a group of women that meet to discuss philosophy and support each other in this male-dominated field. We discuss topics such as the challenges facing women in professional settings (such as academia and business); classroom dynamics; relevant campus events; and interesting news articles. All topics are open for discussion.
Members do not have to be philosophy majors (or to have taken a class in the department) to participate in the weekly dinner discussions.
The first meeting for the Fall 2012 semester is Thursday, September 6, 2012, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Kohlberg 116.
If you are interested in restarting/rejuvenating this group, contact Quitterie Gounot for more information.
