  1. IdeaLab - Beardsley 101

    A space for ideas and experimentation. A hub connecting the MakerSpace, Media Center, Language Center and PhotoLab. Features virtual reality systems, a green screen, flight simulation, and Idea Hammock™.

  2. Media Center - Beardsley 114

    A space for digital media production, from video editing and animation to photography and graphic design. Stop in to talk about filmmaking, digital storytelling, and Adobe Creative Cloud. We also have self-service poster printing, but encourage digital design and distribution.

    Your starting point for general IT solutions and issues. Email support@swarthmore.edu for help.

  4. Classroom and Conferencing Technologies - Beardsley

    The Classroom and Conferencing Technologies Department provides audiovisual and digital media equipment support for instruction and administrative purposes on campus. Our office is located in Beardsley Hall 115, x6201.

  5. Podcast Studio - Clothier 17

    Our podcast studio allows for the creation of professional sounding podcasts or audio recordings with 1 to 4 participants.

  6. MakerSpace - Whittier 114

    A lab to support making and learning, complete with 3D printers, laser cutter, water-jet cutter, sewing machines, 3D scanner and wood shop (the wood shop is unavailable until the renovation is complete). Supports faculty, students, and staff in all departments.

  7. Active Learning Classrooms - Singer 034/035, Kohlberg 116

    Classrooms with whiteboards and technology to support active, group based and collaborative teaching and learning.

  8. Language Center - Kohlberg 326

    Language Center is a dynamic and flexible teaching and learning space that supports digital initiatives and encourages technological exploration. We primarily provide support of the Language Departments and Film and Media Studies.

  9. PhotoLab - Old Tarble

    A satellite of the Media Center focused on fine art photography and traditional printmaking.
