Important final reminders and Orientation schedule!
This message was sent by Rebecca Weintraub-Barth on August 11, 2025
Good morning!
We are so excited to have you all come to campus in just a few short weeks. For those of you moving in ahead of August 26th, please make sure you are looking for emails from your early arrival project sponsors about move-in information.
Moving In!
Otherwise, for those moving in on August 26th (which is the majority of you!), please use the attached campus map to help navigate campus. We've also provided a
basic map to help identify campus entrances for your residential space.
If you live in Willets, David Kemp or Worth Hall, please enter campus through the Ben West entrance. If you live in Parrish, please use the main entrance, and if you are in any other residential space, please enter through the South entrance on Field House Lane. There will be plenty of staff helping you navigate around campus, but the maps can help give you a place to start. Be sure to put on the construction layer to be fully prepared!
Schedule for New Student Orientation
As there are just 2 weeks until we all will get together and start the full New Student Orientation program, I wanted to share that the schedule is live! You can find the full schedule through the Swarthmore Guidebook app. You can find this app in the desktop version
here. Once you open it, click details or schedule on the left hand side. You can also download the Swarthmore app and download the "Swarthmore College Fall 2025 Orientation" guide straight to your phone! Go to the App Store on your mobile device and search for the “Swarthmore College” app. Please be mindful that with the app, things can be, and will be, updated in real time as needed! You can continue to refer to it all week as needed for the most accurate information.
General Note on Construction on Campus
Walking around campus the first few months of the semester may feel different than you expected, or take some getting used to. Swarthmore is in the midst of a period of transformation as we lay the groundwork for spaces and infrastructure that will allow us to live into our mission to educate the whole person and steward our resources toward a more sustainable future.
We cannot wait to meet you all in person and welcome you to Swarthmore officially!
Be well and get some rest in the meantime!
