When choosing Mellon Mays Fellows, we consider the following criteria:
Strong academic potential
Commitment to pursuing an academic career
Course of study in an eligible major
Promise for excelling as a mentor and teacher for a wide range of students
Demonstrated commitment to the founding goals of the Mellon Mays program
Availability for dedicated and enthusiastic participation in all aspects of the MMUF program
Citizenship status*
* All U.S. students (defined as citizens, permanent residents, DACA-mented, and undocumented students) are eligible to apply.
