Swarthmore QUeer Advocate Development
Start putting the pieces together
and be part of the SQUAD
Throughout the past year, the Intercultural Center team has been focused on developing LGBTQ+ training and educational opportunities for faculty, staff, and students. In Spring of 2018, these trainings began with Pronoun 101, which was offered at a variety of levels including open community discussions, peer-led student trainings, and faculty and staff department trainings.
We are excited to announce that we will have a collection of trainings centered around the Foundations and Intersections of LGBTQ+ students on campus.
Swarthmore QUeer Advocate Development (SQUAD) delivers skills-based, educational opportunities for the Swarthmore community, while centering the philosophy that advocacy is a continuous process that looks different for everyone. Participants have the ability to personalize their learning to meet their own goals as an advocate and track their engagement through the Intercultural Center.
Courses being offered will be broken up into two sections: Foundations and Intersections. To sign up for Intersections courses, one must first complete Foundations or test out by filling out this quiz: https://goo.gl/forms/fJugeLfAK60bEN0F2
