Swarthmore College Logo Survey

The Communications Office is leading an initiative to refine the ways we communicate about the College, including how we visually represent Swarthmore. As part of this effort, we’re beginning to explore potential updates to the College’s logos, including the primary Parrish Hall logo, as well as other marks we use, such as the Swarthmore “S” that’s often associated with our athletics teams.

These logos are an important component of how we communicate about the College. As we consider updates based on contemporary graphic design standards and trends and various use cases that have emerged since some of these logos were originally designed (e.g., social media platforms and other digital channels), we’d love your thoughts! What do you think of the College’s existing logos? Do they represent Swarthmore well? What, if any, aspects do you feel should be updated? Should there be more consistency across the spectrum of logos that currently exist?

Please let us know by completing this brief questionnaire by Wednesday, April 5.

Our primary goal is to ensure we are telling a compelling, consistent, and authentic story about Swarthmore and the incredible work happening across the College community. We appreciate your voice in that endeavor!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to communications@swarthmore.edu.
