Regional Zero Waste Campus Collaborative

In 2022, Swarthmore College’s Zero Waste Working group launched the Regional Zero Waste Campus Collaborative (RZWCC) with schools across Delaware County and the neighboring areas. This collaborative is meant to connect local colleges and universities in the region, meeting regularly throughout the academic year. The collaborative allows staff and faculty working closely with waste management and operations from across these schools to connect on zero waste initiatives and policies, share information about waste education, and leverage combined power to create change within each campus and regionally.

The 2025-2026 representatives from Swarthmore College for the RZWCC are:

  • Clare Hyre, Associate Director of Sustainability, Office of Sustainability
  • Chip Proctor, Manager of Administration, Environmental Services
  • Juna Saito, Sustainability Fellow, Office of Sustainability
