Swarthmore Second

A second "orientation", a second of your time, a second chance at connecting with community

Class of 2029 students on a field in the shape of "2029" numbers from arial view.

Swarthmore Second is an intimate, five-week dinner program designed for first-year and transfer students to build immediate, meaningful connections within the Swarthmore community.

This series features weekly dinner sessions in small, focused cohorts of 3:1:1 ratios: 3 first-year or transfer students, 1 peer leader, and 1-2 staff or faculty members. Each dinner is a unique opportunity to connect with other new students, a designated upper-class student mentor, and offers a casual setting for staff/faculty and student relations.
