Dear Incoming Student:
Congratulations on becoming part of the Swarthmore College community! We are thrilled to welcome you to campus in the coming weeks.
Swarthmore is deeply committed to the health, safety, and well-being of all community members. As a new member of the College, you are required to complete two online educational programs before your arrival: AlcoholEDU and RespectEDU. These are pre-departure requirements designed to support your transition to college and help foster a safe and respectful campus environment.
Important information about the courses:
The programs will be available starting August 1, 2025.
You will receive an email from Vector Solutions, the company that hosts the training platform, with your login instructions.
Please allow up to 48 hours for the email to arrive in your Swarthmore inbox.
If you do not see the email by August 3, 2025, please check your spam or junk folder.
The courses take approximately 2 hours to complete.
You must achieve a passing score of 80% on the final assessment.
The courses include some personal questions. Because your answers are confidential and cannot be linked to you individually, we encourage honest responses to help improve your experience with the courses.
For any technical issues or questions related to the courses, please contact Vector’s Online Support Center directly.
We are excited for you to begin your journey at Swarthmore. If you would like to discuss your experience with the programs or talk more about topics related to health and safety, please feel free to reach out.
