First math class at Swarthmore: Linear Algebra

What was your favorite math class and why? Differential Equations with Professor Barranca because the class was an interesting applied mathematics course, taught by an engaging, enthusiastic, and hospitable professor.

Why did you become a math major? I have always enjoyed math at a young age, and after taking Discrete Mathematics and learning cool abstract math concepts, I wanted to learn more and pursue a career related to math.

How do you expect to use your mathematics after leaving Swarthmore? I am not entirely sure, but I would consider applying for graduate school and pursuing some career where I can utilize mathematical skills and knowledge to care for people.

What advice do you have for an incoming student? Go to office hours as much as possible!
