First math class at Swarthmore:
I took Linear Algebra in my first semester at Swarthmore. I had a lot of fun learning about whole new concepts of math.

What was your favorite math class and why?
I really enjoyed Statistical Methods II because I got to work with many different data sets and explore ways of analyzing them and discovering relationships that weren't immediately apparent.

Why did you become a math major?
I've always enjoyed math and as I've taken more upper level math classes, I've learned the importance of math and the numerous places it can be applied. I became a major because I wanted to delve deeper into my learning about math and statistics.

How do you expect to use your mathematics after leaving Swarthmore?
I'm also majoring in computer science, so I'm hoping to work in data science since I enjoy coding and analyzing data.

What advice do you have for an incoming student?
Take advantage of office hours, pirate sessions, and other math clinics. You're never on your own, everyone here wants to help you succeed!
