Student Payroll

Student employment at Swarthmore College is overseen by both the Student Payroll Office and the Student Employment Office.

Working on campus can be an invaluable learning opportunity for students, and the Student Payroll Office offers resources to help support the student employment process. The Student Payroll Office is under the supervision of the Office of Human Resources.

Student Payroll Office (SPO)

The Student Payroll Office collects all required employment paperwork (I-9, Direct Deposit form, etc.) from students and provides information and training on how to be paid for your campus employment. We also assist supervisors by providing information on hiring student workers through JobX, Swarthmore's hub for posting and applying to campus jobs, salary administration, electronic timekeeping, and pay dates. Search these pages for more information and resources for both students employees and on-campus employers.

Student Employment Office (SEO)

The Student Employment Office (SEO) helps to connect the more than 1,200 students who work while at Swarthmore with on-campus employment opportunities. SEO does not directly place students in jobs, but rather help them identify on-campus job opportunities that are the right fit for their skills, interests, and availability. We also work with on-campus employers to help them advertise open positions to students, and welcome them to contact the Student Employment Office if they need assistance in filling a student job.

Have questions about finding and applying to jobs on campus? Visit the Student Employment Office Website.
