  • Favorite thing about economics: My favorite thing about economics is that the concepts learned in the classroom can be applied directly to everyday life. 
  • Interesting fact: I rarely miss a South Carolina football or baseball game, go USC!

  • Favorite thing about economics: I like studying economics because it is very applicable to real life. I enjoy learning about different things in class and then observing these trends and events occurring in society.
  • Interesting fact: I named my dogs after chocolate bars (because they’re chocolate labs). I also have a twin sister.

  • Favorite thing about economics: It is so broadly applicable, you can use the concepts in your career but also in maximizing your time spent having fun, hanging with friends, seeing movies, etc.
  • Interesting fact: I write poetry, mostly for me

  • Favorite thing about economics: My favorite thing about economics is how it’s taught at Swarthmore. The courses I’ve taken have given me a strong understanding that the economy requires both a solid intellectual framework alongside an openness to new ideas. It’s incredibly helpful to feel grounded in an economy that’s so in flux.
  • Interesting fact: I work as an EMT at my local fire department

  • Favorite thing about economics: I enjoy seeing the role that economics plays in the creation of public policy that influences the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Interesting fact: I play field hockey at Swarthmore and am an avid reader!

  • Favorite thing about economics: Econ is interdisciplinary involving so many different subjects I enjoy learning about: math/stats, history, psychology, poli sci, etc.
  • Interesting fact: You can usually catch me exploring nature or learning about random historical facts. I also enjoy adrenaline-inducing activities such as roller coasters, going to concerts, and gambling derivatives.
