CS Student Presents at Biomedical Engineering Society Conference
Cohen Manges '27 presented a research poster entitled "Expressed Differently: A Robust Single Cell RNA Sequencing Differential Expression Pipeline" at the Biomedical Engineering Society's annual meeting. The research was co-authored by professor Claudia Kutter and Dr Qun Li of the Karolinska Institute and funded by the NSF via their AI-UPP IRES. Designed for a field with non-trivial separation of wet lab and computational skills, the tool's purpose is to automate as many steps of the single cell RNA sequencing analysis process as possible to increase the accessibility of sequencing technologies by automatically parallelizing data analysis, performing data quality control, and generating common bioinformatics graphs based on user-provided phenotypes.
