Through intensive year-round instruction, mentorship, and love, CCC children build confidence, discipline, curiosity, and a belief in what is possible for their futures.

After more than three decades of visionary leadership, our Founder and Executive & Artistic Director, John Alston, will retire in August 2026.

John has built more than a chorus; he has created a community where children are known, challenged, and encouraged to discover what they are capable of.

The Chester Children’s Chorus is an affiliated program of Swarthmore College and receives generous in-kind support from the College, as well as a generous financial contribution. The CCC raises more than 90% of its own funds to cover direct expenses. Official tax receipts for charitable contributions to the CCC are issued directly by the College.
