Mozart's Requiem: Death, Drama, and Divine Music

Was Mozart poisoned by a jealous rival? Did he genuinely believe he was writing his own funeral mass? Join CCC Executive Director John Alston for an illuminating talk that separates fact from legend as we explore the final year of Mozart’s life and the creation of his hauntingly beautiful Requiem. Discover who really helped him complete his masterpiece — and what makes this music both terrifying and transcendent.

Doors open at 4:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
