A vision for collaborative leadership, "A Farewell Feast..." Willie Birch, 1998

Foundations of Leadership is a new program that assists student leaders with teamwork, communication, and effecting change within and beyond their organizations. Students apply to participate in monthly, 1-hour, interactive workshops to develop leadership skills. These skills are critical for success in a range of contexts, including SGO, athletics, clubs, affinity groups, activism and beyond.

Workshop topics may include: emotional intelligence, communication, teamwork, Design Thinking, systems thinking, and more. All workshops focus on applied leadership skills with the goal of helping students make an impact.

These workshops will take place on Friday, 1:30-2:30pm, starting September 29th, and continuing in November, December, February, March and April (specific dates after Sept TBD). Food will be provided. Students who complete all six workshops will qualify to apply for  a larger amount of funding from the Design and Development Fund, which can be used for a project, event, conference or venture that supports innovation and leadership development.

If you are interested in participating, apply here. Applications submitted by September 17, 2023 will get priority consideration.
