The Amy Vollmer S3P Summer Opportunity Fund was established in 2022 by a group of anonymous donors in honor of longtime biology professor and Director of the Swarthmore Summer Scholars Program (S3P) Amy Vollmer. The fund is intended to provide enriching learning experiences for S3P students by supporting work, study, or research during the summer months. The recipient(s) will be chosen by the Provost’s Office from among the S3P students.
A group of alumni have pledged to establish a fund in honor of Amy recognizing her contributions to Swarthmore and to provide summer opportunity funding to students in S3P. The donors are happy to encourage others to contribute to this fund. If individuals would like to contribute, they can do so by visiting the College's giving website and indicating they would like the funds to go towards the The Amy Vollmer S3P Summer Opportunity Fund (by choosing "Other" in the drop menu).
