Danny’s passion for markets and international trade led him to pursue summer internships in asset management and consulting. He spent his first two summers interning at Clear Harbor Asset Management, a value based investment firm in New York. At Clear Harbor, Danny learned financial analysis, conducted research on companies for portfolio managers, and served as a risk analyst. He generated risk adjusted performance numbers for Spectrum Value Partners, the in-house hedge fund, over a 10 year period. He prescribes to the theory there is a deeper breadth of knowledge achieved by harnessing strong analytical skills and supplementing them with qualitative research. Most recently, Danny completed a summer internship at Treacy & Company, a management consulting firm focused on growth strategy and innovation. While at T&Co, Danny worked with a company to develop a global lexicon and to restructure their R&D process to be more market driven and customer facing. He assisted in client management, created deliverables, and participated in firm building activities. At Swarthmore, he is captain of the Varsity baseball team, Senior Admissions Fellow, Student Academic Mentor (SAM), Teaching Assistant for the Economics department, and Member Educator for Delta Upsilon Fraternity.
For High School, Danny attended Canterbury School, an independent college prep day school where he was on the Headmaster's List, received the Faculty Prize, and Dean's Award. He was captain of both the varsity basketball and baseball team. He also served as a sports writer for the school newspaper and was editor of the sports section his senior year. He led the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Club, was a member of the Key Club and served on the student government Executive Board. He was the lead in the play “The Silver Whistle” his senior year.
