Tony DeSantis, Trumpet

Tony DeSantis is an active freelance trumpet player. He is a graduate of the University of the Arts. He is currently a member of the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia, The Eleventet, the Captain Black Big Band, the Pennsylvania Philharmonic Big Band, City Rhythm Orchestra and the Larry McKenna Big Band. He also regularly performs with the Midnite Sun Orchestra, The Jim Ward/Ed Vezino Big Band and the Earl Phillips Big band. Tony is currently a Soulo Mute artist.

As a jazz performer, Tony has been a guest soloist with several area schools and has participated at the Mellon Jazz Festival, the Willingboro Jazz Festival, the Atlanta Jazz Festival and the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival. He currently performs at many jazz clubs in Philly and New York such as Chris's Jazz Café, South, and Birdland. He also has performed on stage with many jazz artist such with Natalie Cole, Phil Woods, Randy Brecker, Wynton Marsalis, Terrell Stafford, Clark Terry, Maria Schneider, Richie Cole, Freddie Hubbard, Al Grey, J J Johnson, Slide Hampton, Joey DeFrancesco, Jerry Weldon, Jimmy Heath, Bootsie Barnes, John Swana, Eric Alexander, Chris Potter and Uri Caine.
