Nhi Huynh, Piano

Dr. Nhi Huynh is a pianist, chamber musician, and educator whose work bridges the traditional and contemporary repertoire. She was a member of the Contemporary Chamber Players at Stony Brook University, where she performed numerous world premieres. She has also appeared as soloist with the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra in Sheila Silver’s Piano Concerto, a performance praised by the composer as “phenomenal.” She especially enjoys collaborating with living composers and sharing new music alongside beloved masterworks. In addition to her work at Lafayette College, she is the founder and Artistic Director of Phoenix Chamber, a nonprofit chamber music organization in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, where she curates intimate, salon-style concerts that bring together world-class artists and the local community.

As a teacher, Dr. Huynh enjoys getting to know each student as an individual and encouraging them to explore music with curiosity and imagination. Whether discovering a new composer, preparing a recital, or collaborating with other musicians, she helps students develop the confidence and skills to express their own musical ideas. She believes that music becomes most meaningful when it sparks curiosity, conversation, and connection, and she strives to bring that spirit into every lesson.
