Mark Loria, Organ
Since 2017, Mark Loria '08 has served as the Principal Organist for the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, where he plays for hundreds of liturgies throughout the year. He has previously served as Organist and Accompanist for Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, NJ and Associate Organist for the Church of Saint Jean Baptiste in New York City. He holds a Masters in Sacred Music from Westminster Choir College and is a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists.
As an organ instructor, he especially enjoys assisting pianists in making the transition to organ and cultivating the many musical skills that are required of organists, from hymn playing to choir accompaniment and improvisation, in addition to surveying the vast literature written for the organ.
