Gusten Rudolph, Percussion

Gusten Rudolph holds degrees in Music Education and Jazz Performance from Rutgers University, where he trained under legendary drummer Victor Lewis. Based in the tri-state area, he performs regularly across a wide range of styles—from jazz and improvisational music to Top 40s pop—and leads his own ensemble dedicated to exploring arrangements and original compositions in a contemporary, improvisation-based setting. His playing can be heard on In Transit and Taking Root by Jeff Dingler, First Vision by Jon Saraga, Presence and The Way by John Petrucelli, Live at The Mermaid Inn by Rev Chris, Chicory Root by Nicholas Krolak, and True Love by Laura Lizcano to name a few.

Gusten has been teaching privately for over a decade. He works with students of all levels to develop strong fundamentals while helping them strengthen their skills, learn new repertoire, prepare for auditions, and expand their musical horizons. His teaching style is both structured and flexible, tailored to each student’s individual goals and designed to inspire a lasting connection to music. He works closely with each student to define clear goals that reflect their personal interests and helps build a focused plan for ongoing improvement.
