Minding the Light

Department Overview

"Mind the Light" is a Quaker saying often invoked to refer to the practice of learning to see divine light in others and ourselves. We hope that by regularly sharing inspiring, joyful, and entertaining stories from our community during these uncertain times, we can brighten your day.

An Update to the Community from President Valerie Smith

President Valerie Smith addresses the Swarthmore community following the first week of remote instruction and social distancing. We'd love to hear where you're finding comfort, inspiration, and even levity during these challenging times. Send a short video (:30 seconds to a minute) to communications@swarthmore.edu, and we might use it to help inspire other members of our community.
