Student Budget Committee (SBC)

Advised by OSE, SBC's primary responsibility is to provide funding to Swarthmore College’s chartered student clubs and organizations through the Student Activities Fee (SAF). Our top priority is to allocate funds in an independent, equitable, and responsible manner in order to enrich the college experiences of the broader student body.  SBC has 9 members: a Chair, a General Manager, and 7 Associates that meet twice a week in order to process and vote on funding requests, communicate with student groups, and respond to inquiries.

Swaudio

Swaudio is an organization which supports the visual and audio technical needs of events run by the broader student body at Swarthmore. The roles of the Swaudio team include upkeep of A/V equipment and inventory, working with organizations to advise on and plan technical needs of events, setting up and taking down equipment during events, as well as providing support during live events such as mixing audio and monitoring equipment/stage setups. Members of Swaudio are hired as student workers associated with the Office of Student Engagement.

Halcyon

The Halcyon, Swarthmore College’s yearbook, has long been a cherished archive, capturing the essence of the college’s history.  After 9 years, it has been revived with the most recent Spring 2025 issue.  From capturing student and faculty life to showcasing sports, clubs, senior portraits, and ads, the yearbook offered a multifaceted view of campus life, growing increasingly inclusive over time. Members of the Halcyon coordinate logistics and collaborate with campus partners to provide treasured yearbooks that are presented to the Senior Class each year during Senior Week.
