The libraries are open to all - including College staff - who may consider full use of library resources, free of charge, as one of the benefits of their employment.
Search our online catalog, Tripod, for materials. Sign in with your Swarthmore credentials for seamless access to digital resources and to request print materials.
Items of particular interest include access to:
- Newspapers and magazines, including the New York Times, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Learn about options and how to set up access in this guide.
- Audiobooks and ebooks on OverDrive. Enjoy them using the free Libby app (compatible with library cards from public libraries.)
- Options for streaming film and streaming music.

- Critically acclaimed and bestselling fiction, non-fiction, and poetry in the Popular Reading Room on the first floor
- DVDs, including movies, TV shows, and documentaries on the 3rd floor
