Andreas Bastian '12

Andreas Bastian is Co-Founder and CTO of Lumafield, a company that develops hardware, software, and AI to help engineers understand their products and the manufacturing processes used to make them.

Previously, as a principal research scientist at Autodesk, Andreas studied generative design, advanced manufacturing, and machine learning.  His research focused on applying new technologies via collaborations with groups like NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Airbus to develop optimal structures for spaceflight and aviation.  Earlier, at Rice University, he developed novel bioprinting technologies for regenerative medicine.

Andreas also co-founded and led technology development at LimbForge, a nonprofit that created design and manufacturing tools for low-cost, culturally appropriate prosthetics in collaboration with clinics and global NGOs, including Doctors Without Borders. 

Corinne Bright '98

Corinne Bright, Ph.D. is CEO and Founder of Reflex Medical, a medical device incubator developing next-generation drug-device combination products for structural heart disease. Previously, she founded Tulavi Therapeutics, where she led development of the allay® Nerve Cap from concept through FDA clearance and built a pipeline of innovative therapies for peripheral nerve repair. Earlier, she served as Vice President of Research and Development at Talima Therapeutics, leading a biodegradable drug-device combination product through Phase II clinical trials, and as a Principal at ONSET Ventures, evaluating early-stage medical device investments. Corinne completed a Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship and earned a B.S. in Engineering from Swarthmore College and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she developed novel biomaterial therapies for spinal cord injury. 

MJ Burk Chun '00

MJ Burk Chun is a co-founder of Serve Robotics and the VP of Product and Design.

Serve Robotics is improving lives with robots, from expanding last-mile delivery with autonomous sidewalk robots to hospital logistics and beyond. Founded in 2021 as a spinout of Uber/Postmates, Serve designs and operates autonomous robots that deliver food, retail goods, lab samples, medications, and more, while helping make delivery safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.

Prior to Serve and Postmates, MJ worked on everything from family robots at Anki to ecommerce marketplaces at BigCommerce. At Electronic Arts, she shipped games for the beloved Sims franchise and also worked on community and streaming services.

Meera Oak '13

Meera’s career has focused on helping organizations navigate change. At Yale University, she worked across finance and product, managing a $1B P&L, supporting M&A transactions and corporate partnerships, and later leading a cloud-based ERP implementation. That experience gave her a practical understanding of how teams adopt and build around new technology. She then moved into venture, working with early-stage funds and incubators including Create Venture Studio and Polymath Capital Partners, where she helped launch and source companies across enterprise SaaS and infrastructure. Today, she draws on this mix of finance, product, and early-stage experience in her work at Alumni Ventures. Meera holds a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
