Frequently Asked Questions
What is “Fit for Every Possibility: Swarthmore Alumni Shaping the World”?
“Fit for Every Possibility” is a series of events designed to highlight the importance and relevance of the liberal arts, and Swarthmore College in particular, in addressing the challenges facing society today. The series takes its name from a quote from President Edward Parrish, who noted that a Swarthmore education should fit students “for life, with all its possibilities.” Alumni panelists in each city will discuss how that higher mission for Swarthmore students has played out, drawing connections between the College, the liberal arts, and their leadership in the world today. These discussions will be moderated by President Valerie Smith.
